JONATHAN LEWIS

Jonathan has been an active member of the Scarsdale community since he moved here with his family in 2001. He has served in a variety of leadership roles including as a Trustee of the Scarsdale Board of Education; President of the Scarsdale Forum; President of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Westchester; Vice President & Trustee of the Arthur Manor Neighborhood Association; and Vice President & Trustee of the Scarsdale Historical Society. Jonathan has served on the Scarsdale School Board Nominating Committee, coached Little League, and volunteered as an instructor at the Scarsdale Young Writers Conference.

 

Jonathan’s commitment to civic engagement is also reflected in his other not-for-profit volunteer work. Jonathan is a trustee of Yonkers Partners In Education (YPIE), and he is Treasurer of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, where he chairs the foundation investment committee.  He has also been a Vice President and Trustee of the American Jewish Historical Society.

A member of Business Executives for National Security, for several years he served on a Domestic Security Task Force that sought to strengthen the relationship and coordination between federal, state, and local law enforcement officials.

 

Jonathan co-founded Samson Capital Advisors in 2004, a fixed income boutique with a focus on public finance and municipal credit. As chair of the investment committee and as chief investment officer, he oversaw the development of firm’s investment process and strategy implementation. Today, Jonathan is the Chief Investment Officer of Fiera Capital, which acquired Samson in 2015. 

 

A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Jonathan holds an MBA from Columbia University and an MA in History from New York University. Jonathan has written two books for Yale University Press on the topics of national security and policy matters.
